About Ms. Roberts
I want to take a little time to introduce myself since I will be your child’s teacher for this upcoming school year. My name is Barbara Roberts. I graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s in broadcasting (the last graduating class before the name change). I moved to Houston not long after to obtain my teaching certification. While I was there, I worked in a Jewish private school and also at River Oaks Elm. as a Special Education Teacher’s Assistant. The opportunity arose to return to my “home area”. (I was born and in Austin and moved to Hays my 8th grade year, Go Rebels!).
I am ecstatic about my third year at Elm Grove. I know it will be great!
I encourage you to contact me whenever you have any questions or concerns about what is going on in our class. I want your child’s learning experience to be a fulfilling and positive one. I will do everything in my power to keep it that way. Your child will see how much we both care about him/her because of our frequent communication. Your child’s progress and success is of principal importance to me. I look to your support in my efforts to maintain the kind of positive environment that will enhance your child’s learning experience this coming year.
I thank you in advance for your help and cooperation, and I am thrilled to have you and your child as a part of our class. I can’t wait to see what wonderful things will happen in the third grade this year!
